FAQ's

I'd love a new Bathroom fitted in my home, but, How do we get started !?!

Just call Noel on 086 2729655. I'll organise a meeting some evening, that suits you. Once i have seen your existing Bathroom / Ensuite, we can have a quick chat about what you would like to have in the New one. I measure everything up and check out your existing Plumbing, Water tanks and pumps etc. and then, i can make suggestions of what items are available, that would best suit your needs.

With Family commitments, i don't really have the time to look around various showrooms, can you help with that ?

Items that i supply & fit are charged at 13.5% Vat, compared to you buying them from a shop at 23% Vat !! I can show you various Bathware catalogues, so, you really don't need to go shopping for them ! I can also organise Tile samples too, with matching floors and borders for your new Bathroom, so you can see how they look in your home, before you make the final choice. Remember, Tiles can look completely different from a large showroom scenario with big spot lights, compared to the natural light and space of your own home.

If you do the Complete Bathroom Re-Vamp ... Do i need to get the Tiles & Bathware delivered etc. Lay Dustsheets and order a Skip ?

Homework's can do everything for you ! I can organise the delivery of the Tiles and Bathware so you don't have to stay in all day, waiting on the deliveries. In the house, We start by covering your existing carpets and hallway, giving us protection when exiting your house, with the rubble of your existing Bathroom. I also organise the skip for all of the debris of the job ! So, YES, it is the Complete Bathroom Re-Vamp from A to Z.

If i agree to go ahead with the job, after receiving my Price and scope of work, who does the job ?

I don't sub-contract my work to any other Bathroom fitters, so you won't have strangers in your home. I have been in the Tiling business since 1994 and i still use the same mobile number since then 086 2729655. I am the one who visits you to begin with, and, i am the one at your house at all times, during your complete Bathroom Fit-out... rest assured.

In my New Bathroom, i'd love to have the Bath tiled, but, i'm worried about not having access to the drain pipes underneath.

When building a frame for a bath, i allow for an access panel. This can be removed at any time to get to the underside of the Taps, or, to the Bath waste pipes. I don't use screws, so that it is practically invisible, when finished. You can see pictures of this in the Gallery section.

I'd like a shower seat fitted, but, i don't want it too bulky, or, to look like a disabled shower !

Firstly, we fit additional wooden supports in the walls, before tiling. A shower seat doesn't have to look bulky, it can be there, just to help take the weight off your feet, whilst having your shower. There are many "Flip down/up" models on the market now. You can also view these in the Gallery section.

I've seen other tilers SPLIT the tiles, to fit around curved shower Valves or pipe outlets.... Does this really need to be done ?

Splitting is a "Quick" solution to fitting tiles around protruding Pipes or shower valves. We have the correct tools to make holes in Ceramics, Marble and harder tiles like Porcelain & Granite. This is all done on site, making the tiled finish, much cleaner. You can see examples of this in my Gallery section too.

Is there any shop you would suggest to view a large selection of Tiles and Bathroom suites ?

Nationwide Tiles have fantastic showrooms in Newbridge (Kildare), Airside (Dublin North) and Sandyford industrial Estate (Dublin South). They have a large selection of Tiles, that are well displayed, and they can give you sample tiles to bring home. They always have special offers on Sale. You can see the site on www.nationwidetiles.ie
